PUSHPA KAMAL DAHAL PARCHANDA STORY

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, is a well-known politician in Nepal. On December 11, 1954, he was born in the isolated Kaski district village of Baidyahtol. Prachanda was raised in poverty and came from a poor family.

Prachanda showed a strong interest in politics and social concerns from an early age. He was profoundly impacted by the political struggles taking place at the time in Nepal, especially the fate of oppressed and underprivileged populations. This increased his motivation to effect change for the better in his nation.

The beginning of Prachanda's involvement in revolutionary movement was in his undergraduate years. He became a member of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) and actively participated in the planning of demonstrations against King Mahendra's despotic regime. He was expelled from college as a result of his involvement in student politics and his anti-establishment views.

Prachanda joined the founding group of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) in 1980. He adhered to the Maoist philosophy and was committed to starting a revolution in Nepal. In order to solve Nepal's socioeconomic issues, the Maoists called for the removal of the monarchy and the empowerment of the rural poor.

The Nepalese Civil War began in 1996 when the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) began an armed uprising. As the Maoists' leader, Prachanda—whose codename, "Prachanda," means "fierce one"—played a crucial role in planning and directing guerilla warfare against the government forces.

Thousands of people died during the Civil War, which lasted for ten years. The conflict was finally put an end to in 2006 when the Maoists and the government signed a peace deal. By establishing the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Center) as part of the peace agreement, Prachanda's party entered the mainstream of politics.
Prachanda led a coalition government as Nepal's prime minister beginning in 2008. His tenure as premier, however, was brief because he resigned from the position in 2009 as a result of a dispute with the President over the ouster of the army chief. From 2016 to 2017, Prachanda acted as the prime minister once more.

Both successes and difficulties have been present throughout Prachanda's political career. He has received appreciation for both his efforts to improve socio-economic inequality in Nepal and his involvement in ending the civil war. He has nevertheless come under fire for his dictatorial management style and allegations of human rights violations throughout the conflict.

Despite his ups and downs, Prachanda has continued to play a significant role in Nepali politics. He is still actively involved in influencing the political climate of the nation and fighting for the rights of underrepresented groups.
