The hurt that came
from the earthquake.
The tremor was quite strong. All of the nearby homes were demolished once the earthquake's shock wave passed.
On Friday night, Jajarkot was fast asleep. In their first
sleep was also the family of Prakash Shah (49), who lives in Upper Thaple,
Bheri Municipality-3. Suddenly, in the middle of the night, the bell of the
nearby temple rang. The constant ringing of the bell woke up Narinthakumari
Shah (51), who was sleeping on the floor.
"The earthquake shook her badly when she got up after
ringing the bell," she said after the initial shock of the tremor passed.
Along with the other houses in the area, Devar Prakash's house was completely
demolished.
In that house was a family of five, including Dewar-Deurani. Deurani's niece and brother Silo arrived as guests. Deputy Mayor Sarita Singh of the Nalgad Municipal Corporation also visited the headquarters on Friday to take part in the UNDP program; she stayed in a room that was rented out from Prakash's residence.
Narintha and her neighbors arrived at Prakash's destroyed
home after the earthquake subsided. The force pressed on Prakash's wife. She is
defending her kids. He waved his hand, and we used a stone support to raise the
ball. Narinda says, "The deputy mayor and brother's brother-in-law left
us. The niece was trapped by the bed and the drawer, and it took us two hours
to get her out." The drawer
and Prakash's brother-in-law were covered in mud and stones from the house's
wall, according to Kripal Budha, who assisted in the rescue. When his head was
all that was visible, he was saved. The falling debris also killed Nalgad
Deputy Mayor Singh, who was in the lower floor room.
Due to the injury to Prakash's hand, his wife has been sent
to Nepalgunj for additional care. "Now God's grace!" Narinda
exclaimed, her eyes welling with tears.

"My heart is still beating."
Additionally, Madhusudan Sharma, 62, of Upper Thaple, is
unable to explain how he managed to survive the earthquake. His words upon
being discovered close to the damaged house were, "Suddenly there was a
crash." It has to be acknowledged that God's grace allowed us to survive.
