In Bheri Municipality, only 42 people have died and 81 people have been injured, according to the District Administration Office in Jajarkot. There have been 105 fatalities in the district, with 55 occurring in the Nalgad Municipality, 7 in the Kushe Rural Municipality, and 1 in the Chedagad Municipality.

Comparably, 51 people have passed away in Rukum West, a nearby district. There were 78 injuries. Aathbiskot Municipality, Saniveri Rural Municipality, and Chaurjahari Municipality have been more severely impacted, according to Chief District Officer Hari Prasad Pant.

 

Out of the 42 Rasaneveri of Athabiskot, 10 have passed away. "About 450 security personnel have been mobilized in the affected areas to make search, relief and rescue effective" , according to him, "Based on the information received, there is no search and rescue work left."

The epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 11:47 p.m., was Barekot rural municipality-1 in Jajarkot, according to the National Earthquake Measurement Center. The locals claim that because the midnight earthquake destroyed many people's houses, many did not have time to flee.

Race for Prime Minister

Early in the morning, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda arrived in the region impacted by the earthquake.
